I've seen quite a few things in the past few years and this is the most valuable and delicate sight I found. Gobustan National Park, Azerbaijan is a home to a jewel hidden in plain - a tiny fragment of beginning of human history.
Our first lives 15,000 years ago are recorded on these rocks. The foundation of design and our communication system, the beginning of us is here - fragmented, damaged by time, wind, water, life itself. Their legacy, their lives and their values haven't lost it's charm.
At first sight, cave drawing might seem jibberish, but with a closer look and some time they make perfect sense today too.
15000 years ago Gobustan had a tropical climate and our first men wrote about fighting with lions, hunting for bulls and rabbits, having first domesticated dogs. They depictes shamans that protected their souls, their women (a torso with no limbs ahaha I guess they recorded what mattered most ;) :P), their families and themselves. Paintings vary based on clan or family they belonged to but they were painted in about the same time frame. What i saw in these masterpieces is pride. These people were proud, happy to be alive and to me, this is the most delicate artwork I've seen in this world.
I hope that there will be some sort of fragment left after our time goes by like water under the bridge.
