🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘😠😠😠😠😠😠🙏🙏🙏🙏😫😫😫😫#Repost from @furanimals17 with #regram.app ... 😡NELSON...SHELTER DOG’S ADOPTION FEE: 🛑$2,306.00🛑 Kerrville, TX .... We need the help of animal lovers everywhere! Nelson is a bully breed mix, who has been serving as an ambassador dog for Kerr County Animal Services for approximately the past two years.
The county has now decided that Nelson is a misappropriation of funds, and an insurance liability (he is NOT aggressive!) He has lost his position through no fault of his own. Because the county spent 2,306.54 on his care, they are demanding this amount back as a way to recoup the funds from any private citizen who wishes to adopt him. This is outrageous!
Nelson was to be euthanized on 12/22/17 but enough local concern was generated that he has a reprieve, for now. He is still being held at the facility, and isn't even listed on their social media in an attempt to find someone who could pay the exorbitant fee.
This is a moral failure and the only one being punished is Nelson, who is innocent. Please help us demand justice for Nelson, he deserves to go to a HOME!
Please help us tell the shelter and the commissioners that this is unacceptable.
