Sorry for the poor quality/display on this one, we will get the Instagram video thing down for next time!
It's that time everyone! This is a good one so make sure you check it out! J&C's #TipfulTuesday advice for today!
If you have ever filed an auto accident claim you have probably heard this phrase: "Your vehicle should be taken to one of our 'preferred' repair shops." Or something similar to this. So what exactly does an insurance 'preferred' shop mean? Watch the video to find out.
Two things we would like to also add: 1.) Client/Customer Service: An insurance 'preferred' shop may be less likely to meet your specific needs/wants in the process of repairing your vehicle. They are less likely to go the extra mile to make a customer happy because their business is built by pleasing the insurance company not the customer. At J&C we solely rely on word of mouth and customer referrals to feed our shop work therefore making our customer happy is our number one priority. We are not limited by contracts with insurance companies and can fight for our customers in making sure they're receiving the quality repairs they deserve.
2.) When you call the 1800 number to file a claim remember this they're going to try and get you to a 'preferred' shop but this person is most likely in another city or state hundreds of miles away from where you live. Are you going to trust the recommendation of a shop by someone that has never step foot in that shop and has never spoke with the people at that shop? They work for the insurance company and they're trained to save the insurance company money by pulling up some list on their computer of contracted shops that are required to do what the insurance company tells them to do.
