How do you take care of yourself after a long day, or week, at work? I used to keep going, going, going-- working and playing-- until I felt so drained that I got sick. What a terrible cycle to be in. I'm (finally) learning to slow down way before I get drained then sick. I've been adding to the list of things that I love and that calm me down. Sometimes, I just lay in bed for an hour with candles and chill music to let the day/week melt away. Sometimes I take a bath, do yoga, go for a beach walk, and sometimes I treat myself to a massage. Sometimes, I binge on movies.
