I forgot to share it, but a couple or so weeks ago my lovely friend sent me this parcel of goodies. It made me really smile when the little package arrived unexpectedly. Thank you. @pocogiles.
Expressions of care and thoughts through messages or post or pictures or tags really make a big difference to how I feel, and in recent weeks I've been touched by some of the lovely messages I've received, especially from people I haven't seen, or often even spoken to, for years and years.
Sometimes people send little messages just of kindness, and often people open up about their own struggles, which is an honour. I know not everyone feels able to be as open or public about some things as I am, and I hope one day that with enough people talking about mental health or related conditions, that it will be less stigmatised to do so, or to request useful and appropriate treatment and/or support in various environments.
I am not always able to reply to messages right away, or for a while, but that doesn't make them any less appreciated. They are appreciated very much, and they make a great deal of difference to me. It surprises me that people want to message me sometimes, especially with very kind and long messages that have taken time to write out of days that are busy, and I often don't understand why, but I do think that personal doubt is part of the strange human condition and in my case, tendency to be hard on myself and not know or understand what my worth or point is. I am nevertheless grateful.
