“I don’t have time”
“It’s too late by the time I finish work”
“I don’t have time in the mornings”
These are the common responses I hear when it comes to exercising and changing your lifestyle.
There are 24 useable hours in every day. You can make time for anything and everything.
You make the conscious choice to make the effort or make the excuse.
My Queensland client Zoe is a mum with 2 boys under 7. She told me she doesn’t have the time to exercise. She would get up at 715am every morning to leave the house by 830am. I told her to get up at 6am and exercise. Her response - ok. She didn’t have an excuse or a reason why she couldn’t do that. Now, she gets in 45 minutes of exercise everyday because she makes the time. She makes herself a priority.
What do you do when you get home that’s so important you can’t delay it by and hour? Getting home by 7pm to watch Home & Away is not a valid excuse.
Prioritizing and managing your schedule will allow you to do everything. Sleeping in until 7am to leave the house at 745am - not an excuse, it’s missed opportunity. You can survive with an hour less sleep to get out and exercise. Go to bed an hour earlier and you will have the same amount of sleep. “It’s too cold in the morning”. Yet you wear a Kathmandu puffer jacket like a second skin - so yes you can get out in the morning, be warm - walk your dog for 30-45 minutes - thats all you’ll need to start. To form a habit.
There are 24/7 gyms available nation-wide. You can exercise at home - with or without equipment. Afterpay, layby, Facebook buy & sell groups offer options to purchase equipment to use at home if that’s your preference.
