I’ve been thinking about our ‘essence’ and true self and have been wondering what it is to strip back the titles we give ourselves such as..
‘I am a wife’
‘I am a therapist’
‘I am a mother’
‘I am a carer’
‘I am a good friend’ ‘I am the one that people depend on’
Ātman is a Sanskrit word that means inner self or soul. "Ātman" in its literal meaning is ‘essence’. What is your true essence? Who are you? I mean - what is left when everything is stripped back? There’s no right or wrong here - its an interesting and thoughtful process to periodically strip back what we think we are and be left with what we are - our true self. Some would say our divine true self. Our Ātman 💛
