It’s not what you do, it’s why you do it.
I remember the first time I came across Simon Sinek’s words and something clicked. I started to look at my work in a different way - I realised that as long as you are in touch with what’s driving your motivation & what ‘feels’ good, the ‘what’ doesn’t really matter too much. If you are starting from your heart and acknowledging those gut feelings we regularly push to one side - all the rest will follow.
My ‘what’ may be taking photos of families & people, but my ‘why’ is far bigger than just that - I want to remind people of what’s important to them, to help them see themselves as they truly are, stripped back from all the noise.
I’d love to know if you’ve ever spent some time getting in touch with your why - why do you do what you do?
