Shall we play Where’s Waldo? (Does anyone else remember those books?) if you look closely, you can see where The Farmer is. The haybine (used to mow and crimp hay) has been showing its age and breaking A LOT lately. It reminds us of one of our sayings: “Stuff only breaks when you use it,” which is sort of a spin off of Proverbs 14:4: “Where there are no oxen, the manger is clean, but abundant crops come by the strength of the ox.” In other words, life is easier when you don’t do anything, but where does that get you?
Speaking of cleaning, I have someone coming to help me catch up on cleaning today. I have done this two other times in my life, and quite honestly it’s some of the best money I’ve ever spent. #cantkeepup My cleaning friends remark each time it is so nice to clean where it’s so obviously needed. Not sure how to take that, really, but I’m glad it makes both them and me feel good.
