“I’m given one shot with my children.
They are given one childhood with me.
The amazing, yet scary part of all of this, I’m the author of this part of their lives.
I determine how their chapters are being written out.
Every day, I will go down in flames trying to give them one hell of a story to reread and look back on one day and think... I remember being happy. When I think of my childhood, I simply remember happiness.
My children are never going to remember how many push-ups I was able to do.... They won’t remember how fast I was able to run a 5K... They aren’t going to remember what size I was...or wasn’t, for that matter.... But they WILL remember that their Mommy was STRONG!
That she was fierce.
That she believed in herself when nobody else did.
And despite all the times things got tough, insanely tough... Despite all the times it would have been easier to quit, my children will remember that was when Mommy pushed harder.
I want my children to look back and say, “Because of my Mommy, I never gave up”! This resonates to my core. Had to share with you. It’s from the book, A LETTER for every MOTHER by Regan Long.
Reread it when needed✌🏼
