An array of fancy yellow diamond rings being modelled here. It is nitrogen in the diamond that causes this yellow colour. The term “Fancy colour” means that the diamond is not graded as a white diamond, it describes a diamond with a strong enough saturation of colour that is beyond the white diamond scale of D-Z (Y-Z being a very apparently yellow diamond but not strong enough to classify as fancy colour). Other colours in diamonds are caused for different reasons.
From left to right (index to pinky!):
1. Fancy Yellow old mine cut cushion in the centre of the three stone.
2. Fancy Intense Yellow old European brilliant cut with tapering French cut shoulders.
3. Fancy Vivid Yellow 1930s asscher cut between two white asscher cut diamonds.
4. Fancy Deep Yellow vintage emerald cut diamond with tapered bullet cut accents.
