I'm sorry I gave you my DNA
I'm sorry if I gave you the genetic code that runs through my cells. Though in the latter years it's served me well. I will admit in the beginning it was painful.
To be strange.
To be wired.
The ability to be unlike anyone.
Even if I suspected it all along.
It took me years to figure out that though, that I was not like them. That I had talents only the gifted possed.
They will call it a disability and label you “special” in a condescending manner and for that I'm sorry. It will be sad and at times you will cry as I did unable to comprehend why.
Why you, why me you will ask.
It's in our genetic code that twin Helix. Hidden like a secret only we can hear. It's our talent our gift. We only have to learn how to use it. How to unlock this Pandora's box. Harness it's energy. To push it out unto the daylight so that it can shine. Like the jewel it truly is.
You will see, hear and feel things like no one else. But for now it will be difficult.
You will struggle you will be challenged and life will be hard.
And for this I am truly sorry.
Use this adversity to mold you, make you, shape you.
If the path you took was easy you would not arrive at the same destination.
So when I say I'm sorry I guess I only mean for now. Because in time you will learn to love this gift.
The gift of being one part per million.
Once you can unlock the true potential of your gift all will change before your very eyes.
You will build your heart up to be strong. Fill it full of love for yourself and others.
When you are ready you will share this with the world and it will be a better place because of you.
Remain the original person you were destined to be, ordained by your genetic code.
