Sent off (Finally) My completed paperwork (like 30 pages and documents) for a new Canadian Citizenship Card. I have a legal (which seems to be really relevant these days) Canadian Citizenship Card but it says female. The "usual" process would be to contact the embassy of the country you were born and have them change it. However, some countries will not change a gender marker on a birth certificate. Nassau, Bahamas is one of those countries unfortunately. :( So I have had to do it the long way. The estimated wait time for a new Canadian Citizenship card with a gender marker change is 6 months. "Normally" You would have to wait for your new citizenship card before getting a new passport with a gender marker. However #Canadrocks and as long as you have the receipt of payment for the new citizenship and a license and health card with your new gender marker/name change you can get. a passport while you wait. That will be my next task.
I have the gender marker and name change passport to attain and a new sin number with a gender marker and name change and then I'm done. phew. The sin change can't be done till you have the citizenship tho. Much of the process of being transgender is waiting lol .
