Warning: I'm gonna get churchy
I truly believe every faith around the world carries some truth to it. Even if we all can't agree on everything, there are some things that truly connect us as believers.
I've had this scripture on my mind this week, and there is a specific friend I kept feeling prompted to share it with. Spoiler alert: I never did. Because I was afraid. (I know, fear doesn't come from God). I truly love and care about this friend, so I was afraid of offending her, or putting her off. Mostly because this scripture comes from The Book of Mormon. And for those of you unfamiliar with Mormonism, we believe the Bible to be the word of God, as far as it is translated correctly, we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. Anyway, I just felt this scripture applied to the category of truth, and I felt like she would enjoy it (ya know, as long as it didn't offend her haha)
"12 Wherefore, all things which are good cometh of God; and that which is evil cometh of the devil; for the devil is an enemy unto God, and fighteth against him continually, and inviteth and enticeth to sin, and to do that which is evil continually.
13 But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God."
Maybe Im being silly about the whole being offended thing, but I'm 95% certain she'll read it here, so if you think you might be "her," just know that I love you, and you're an amazing friend💛
