I spent the last 5 days camping on BLM land (@mypubliclands) just outside Arches National Park. (Just outside meaning that the fence of the park was literally 10’ from my tent!). Here are a few photos from my campsite. It was so close to the National Park that I literally walked into the park, however, I was one hour from the nearest town and from the National Park main entrance. ⛺️ I have always refused to camp at campgrounds or at paid campsites when the Bureau of Land Management provides us with so many stunning wilderness areas in which to camp in solitude, and for free. Imagine driving into a forest, (or the desert in this case), turning down a dusty dirt road, and discovering a gorgeous spot in the wilderness with no other humans, no noise, no public bathrooms, or showers. It’s actually shocking to me that anytime would ever camp at a campground! The whole reason that I camp is to be as far away from humans as possible, and to have access to locations that other people don’t experience, or photograph! 🔥
I’ll be posting a really helpful blog post on my website this week about how to camp on BLM land, the link is in my bio!
