Spiced chicken breast with cauliflower rice, sweet potato and spinach.
First time eating cauliflower rice and liked it! its not expensive at @traderjoes and it does make the mental trick!
In general carbs for dinner are not good because the body will not use that extra energy few hours before going to sleep.
However, I just came from my aerial yoga class and whatever you eat within an hour after your workout goes to fuel your muscles! 💪🏼
This does not mean one can eat whatever! some body types don’t even need carbs after a workout if they have eaten them throughout the day (vegetables are enough since they also have carbs on them!)
After working out or when I feel like having carbs for dinner I chose the lighter ones like sweet potato, quinoa or lentils.
To make the chicken I just spread it with cumin, paprika, onion, garlic powder salt and coconut oil. Last time I made it the inside came out plain so this time I made cuts on it before grilling so the flavoring penetrated better and it proved a success!
I poured a tbsp of olive oil over the food to add healthy fats (really important in every meal, specially for dinner!) 👩🏽🍳🌿
