Let’s have a flashback to one of my very first posts on Instagram.
Next week marks my first anniversary on here. I had taken a solid year off from social media and it was nice. A suggestion from a business contact of Ryan’s saw us joining IG world, but after a few weeks Ryan decided bush life/homestead stuff would do better on a separate account so my profile was born.
I didn’t know what to expect. Wasn’t sure how my ramblings would be received. Putting yourself out there in a real way can be scary. But here I am almost a year later.
Almost 5800 of you follow along as I share the ins and outs, good and bad. You’ve encouraged me. Prayed for me. Supported me. It’s humbling to sit here now and remember the beginning. What do I share? Will they like it? Each new step has been a step of faith. And here I am. New friends. Genuine relationships built through this little page of squares. A thriving business. Over the past few months baskets and balms have gone from a hobby to my full time gig. Materials harvested from my property are helping to pay for our homestead and feed our family. You people are amazing and I want you to know that this first year has far surpassed any expectations I had. I’m thankful now that my husband “kicked me off” of his page and told me to get my own 🤣, just teasing babe you know I love you 😘. It’s been a wonderful year and I’m excited to see what the next one brings. Speaking of year and reflecting...what do you think of a calendar? I’m contemplating compiling some of our pictures for a calendar. Would you guys be interested? If so, which pictures would you like to see? Feel free to scroll through and comment on them.
