“Snickers, the cure for a rainy day”
This is the type of photo I’ve been real inspired by lately. The “see a moment, point the camera, shoot the photo” type of photo. The
raw, real, memory-capturing” type of photo. The “stick it in a photo album so one day my kids can see what my life was like” type of photo.
Capturing life in this way doesn’t seem to come naturally to me for some reason, and most days it feels like it goes against a lot of what I’ve set up in my mind as “good photography practices,” but as I flip through these photos that a bunch of dudes randomly snapped on a bike trip across the country these are the pictures that I spend the most time staring at. They feel timeless and deep and full of story. They don’t always fill me with awe like some of the vast mountainscapes, but they do make me feel like I was really there and that’s far more valuable. #bikeexpeditionof86
