Strength training is one of the best ways to build the capacity and load tolerance with soft tissue such muscles and tendons. Especially in running where repetitive loads are placed on the body. High loads at low reps targeting the running muscles is the best way to reduce your likelihood of injury. Remember we cannot prevent injury but we can definitely reduce it.
