20/ 2018. Day 5 of February, Week 1. Saree number 7, February Week 1. (Resolve no. 2)
The 20th saree of the year. On the 35th day itself. A tiny little yay moment.
I am on a 'reclaim and restore' mission this year. And so, what better way to celebrate that minute milestone by wearing a repeat saree that has been restored to its former crispness?
As I had written in my first post in this saree, for a long time, this blue bandhani in the softest mul has been my mum's at-home saree whenever she spends a day at ours. But this bright beauty needed a proper outing.
So, off she was sent for a starch bath and the rigours of a steam press. And then, she was ready to be a confident companion to this pretty pink-and-white woven blouse with cording in soft yellow. The dori style of the @byloom blouse was a happy nod to the saree's Rajasthani provenance.
A quick photosession in the garden and they rushed off happily to work, lifting my spirits, along with them. 😊 (Please swipe for closeup of blouse with saree and previous pairing)
P.S: This pairing is totally inspired by the way @life_in_a_saree and @shonati wear their pinks and blues together. I have always loved the colours together but have worn them always in a single garment, not as complements in an ensemble. Thank you, lovelies, for opening up the blues and pinks for me. 💗💙 #100sareepact #sareesbeyondthepact #sareesofinstagram #iwearhandloom #cottoniscool #sareetowork #bandhanisaree #byloom #affordablehandlooms #nofilter
