Day 423 of chemo. 21st cycle - 13th maintenance cycle.
My chemo was pushed out by two days, and shifted to Saint Andrews Medical Centre on the corner of Hutt Street/ South Terrace because of the shift to the new RAH.
I woke up late and really pushed shit uphill to get myself ready on time. Tim was my support person today, I kept him waiting but eventually got there. Thanks Tim.
Because treatment was at a new place, there were a few forms to complete, we saw the doctor, bloods were good, he went through the info needed for my next treatment in Perth, ha, (and let me tell you, I didn't think it was funny), all I have is a contact name, so that's gonna be fun, he says it will all be okay so I will run with that and we will see!
Treatment took longer than it normally does, they had two attempts at getting a line in, my urine had protein and blood in it so that's been sent off for more tests, and the drugs took a while to come up from the pharmacy, but it was a beautiful open, clean and spacious centre so wasn't an issue, more forms to fill in after treatment and then we had a beautiful celebratory lunch with my friends Helen and Dan at Chianti to celebrate her great news. So happy for you Helen.
I slept for an hour when I got home and then spent half an hour in the garden trying to rid it of rocket which had taken off like one.
Quiet night in here tonight.
