This project created a maple burl shortage around @portland for a little over a year. This is the checkout counter at the @_chalicefarms location on Naito Pkwy. It's been a pleasure to have worked with @gibbonsbrothers on the project and I'm looking forward to the final install in early 2018.
Earliest iteration of the famous f39 chair. Although in continuous production from inception, this set is distinguished by its lovely burl maple frame (usually teak or oak) and inclusion of extremely rare arm captains chairs. Produced in the early 1940s for FDB Mobler. The wood retains a wonderful aged patina. Located at Modest Designs, Hudson NY.

Some of you may wonder what burl maple looks like before it’s cut. This piece was cut but still has the edge. Now imagine a huge spiky ball sticking out from the trunk of a tree. The other photo is what we turn that burl into.
After years and years of guitar trading, buying, and playing, I finally bit the bullet and got a custom guitar. I went with Kiesel and I couldn't have picked a better company, in my opinion. Gorgeous craftsmanship and great customer support (#callmyguys lol) I finally understand people who say pictures don't do this justice because this guitar is way more beautiful than anything I could capture with natural light. Proud to be part of the family! @kieselcarvinguitars@jeffkiesel@geteffected
