Miss the days when every time you check in or practice posing you see your body chipping away of that unwanted fat that you have gained through off season.
It will be a little while before I'm back there now because I have another 8 months or so of growth, eating enough to fuel my workouts and recover from whilst gaining steady muscle. But when I'm ready I know I'l be chipping away nicely again and getting shredded whilst maintaining size.

I have been competing for many years, so I would consider myself a little experienced, not as much as some but certainly more than others.
I am also a big bodybuilding fan, have attending many shows every year all over, I have been to the Olympia the last few years too. It's my passion, I love it, the want to improve in an area that requires dedication and work.
One thing that stands out is the lack of preparation, not on the physiques but on how the athletes display and present it on stage.
This sport requires extreme dedication and sacrifice but yet some fail to realize that this all comes down to a few minutes on stage where you will get a chance to showcase all your hard work, hide your weaknesses and draw attention to your strengths.
In the many years I have competed, every time Iv come off-stage I felt like I worked so hard up there, it was extremely taxing and believe me, I practice posing everyday on prep.
What my point is that you can never practice enough, after all, you will be judged on your presentation.
Don't let the important tools to your competition be forgotten, practice your posing every day, seek out professional help if needed.
I have been fortune enough to work with some great posing coaches and what I have learned in a short space of time not only helped me gain confidence in shots I wasn't but stopped me from practices bad techniques.
I will post another with a few tips to remember when taking the stage.

Here are a few tips to remember when taking the stage.

Eyes will be on you from the moment you step on to stage, you will be judged walking, in your poses, transitions, standing in line, walking off too, so you will need a lot of stage endurance.
Eyes will get drawn to your mid section. That's who the brain operates, core first then out. This is why this area must remain tight at all times on stage. Even when your back in turned, keep the stomach tight, judges on each side will still see it.
Ab and core training during prep will help, even if you have great abs, it will help you contract it better and the twisting movement will give you more flexibility.
Always start floor up, try to engage every muscle from your feet to your head. Work your way up, once you have contracted the area, keep it locked and move to the next.
Flow in your transitions to the next pose, use it as a way to show a little more of what you have. Like twisting around to show your back before you hit a quarter turn.
You won't have a mirror on stage with you, so use the mirror as a tool but also practice without it.
Try to feel the muscles engaging not see them, instead visualize them.
Presentation is key, clean skin, perfect tan, clean shave, neat hair cut and nice smile. This is important because it adds to the healthy glow and look the judges like.
Look like you not only belong up but you are enjoying it too. Even if you are so nervous, mask it, look confident, not cocky but like you are doing what you love and showcase what you are proud of. And also that you want to win and you are willing to work for it. This is very important especially when it comes close, you have to fight but in a very profession manor.
Everyone wants to win but there can only be one, I know how it feels to win, be respectful of the other competitors, judges and supporters. If you didn't get the result you wanted go back to the drawing board and change it next time.

Hope this helped anyone that is prepping. Message me if you need any help.

Great shoulder with @ankys1 @train_sf today. High reps, supersets, a lot of pump and sweat. Loved it.

Got pulled in to a few challenges today at the expo..
Thought I give @kateaustin8200 class a little 5 minute sample..
Wow..quads were on fire...deep burn, sweat pumping, glutes aching but at the same time it was so much fun, jumping up and down dancing away whilst fighting the quad pump.

This must burn some calories doing the entire class, not to mention tighten up all those lose areas.

Need a shake now and a massage ha ha.
Awesome.

Today I worked out in the new Rock Deltas... I like be these shoes. They feel great, and they gave me a surge of energy today that allowed me to destroy my lift. @therock these are the bomb. Tons of Bull went down today, I couldn't be happier. Plus I had about 3 people ask me about them, and even though I'm not much for talking while lifting, I shared my joy of the shoes. Highly recommend. #neverfull #hardwork #fitness #strength #fitfam #rockdelta #bullmode

Few snips of the back session from today @train_sf with @hensyfarrell_dxb .

Starting with Cable Pullovers to pre exhaust the lats then supersetted with wide grip pulldowns focusing on the isometric hold, we did 2 dropsets after last set.

We then did reversegrip pulldowns, again focusing on the isometric hold, we did a few holds at the top of the movement once we reahed failure and then a drop set.

Then was hammer strength heavy rows, building the weight up then stripping back down.

Finished off with a cable rows, keeping reps a little higher, increasing the blood flow and pump, we did 2 drop sets after the last set on this exercise too.

Nothing overkilled, knowing our limits but all in all a very productive back session hitting all areas we both want to bring up.

Give it a go if you want width and thickness....who don't right??? Ha ha.
