Good afternoon my friends! Today I woke up feeling like it's time to open up about my work a bit more so here I am. A lot of artists and friends have been asking me about the progress of my work and why it's taking so long for me to release more of it. The images I just posted in chronological order are crystal clear about why. I started my performance during my studies at LCC while in London in 2013 and I honestly never thought it would turn out to be so appreciated and wide spread. Thank you guys for the support! It means the world to me, I love people and creativity with all my soul. Unfortunately some people in the publishing industry felt ENTITLED to plagiarise my work and crush it down, making me pass like a crazy person and leave me in the dark. This resulted with me having panic attacks and all sorts of emotional damage for a long time. If you've been following me a bit, you know already. Yet, I felt like pausing the performance to make a point and finally here it is: since my performance had been paused, all the platforms created to shut down my business have been taken down as well. I'm opening up about it because it's something I must do to protect my career and my reputation, as much as the people who like me have invested in the project so much time and energy. It's time to break the circle to prevent that other people will suffer in silence like I did. It's not fair. I'm happy to announce that now that this thing is out of the way the performance is moving forward and that is developing into something way greater for my health and that of all contributors. Thank you God for this chance to expose some shit in our society and to have the strength to move forward!!! And thank you guys for reading this far, I really appreciate it! Oggi, secondo le statistiche, un bambino su due ha ricevuto un atto di #bullismo..
Le ripercussioni sono devastanti se non affrontate prontamente... Noi adulti abbiamo un compito importante per quanto sia difficile: osservare i bambini e cercare di leggere tra le righe dei loro comportamenti... #unicef

Una tragedia, quella di qualche giorno fa, che poteva essere evitata. Questa è una sconfitta soprattutto nostra, della società. Lo è tutti i giorni sui social, a scuola, al lavoro, in famiglia. Ormai siamo abituati al linguaggio violento, alle parole che fanno male. Ma quanti danni fanno le parole! Beatrice lo sapeva bene e non l'ha sopportato. Sono terribili i numeri del bullismo e le sue conseguenze, una violenza nei confronti di chi è più debole perché il bullo per sentirsi forte riesce solo ad affossare gli altri, non ha altri mezzi o strumenti. Sto leggendo dei commenti tremendi, soprattutto sui social e mi vergogno per chi li scrive. Vorrei che queste persone provassero almeno per qualche giorno cosa voglia dire, perché è lacerante, distrugge la propria autostima, la propria persona e soffoca l'anima. Dobbiamo impegnarci a trovare un linguaggio diverso e dobbiamo imparare la comprensione a partire dalla nostra famiglia.

I started suffering from depression and anxiety long before beginning my PhD. 😢 Through family problems during my childhood and being bullied at school, my depression started when I was 14. Being depressed isn't fun. Typical feelings and thoughts associated with depression are 1) feeling useless, 2) worthlessness, 3) no one loves you, 4) if you die the day after none cares, 5) putting yourself under unnecessary pressure 6) blaming yourself for every stupid mistake.

Depression has taken years of my life away from me. I honestly don't have any positive memories of my high school or university, and I struggle to form friendships or relationships in general ever since.

Next summer I'll turn 28: I will have lived half of my life with this condition. I don't want this for myself anymore, and I’ve taken action by talking with a counselor. If you feel depression, please seek professional advice. Therapists exist to help and support you along your way. If you live in the UK, you can use services such as samaritans and nightline (call 116123). PLEASE COMMENT BELOW with numbers of similar services in your country. You can also surround yourself with helpful and supportive people willing to follow your fight against depression. I wouldn't be able to do it without my boyfriend who wants nothing but for me to be a happy, strong, independent and confident woman.

For specific advice on how to cope with anxiety with PhD, I wrote an article on my website (link in bio). This advice came as a result of my experience and assistance with the counselor. The only one I want to type here is: happiness comes from the inside. Find what makes you happy - people, activities - and pursue them.
