In the beginning, gaining muscle is as simple as training 3-4x per week doing full-body workouts that focus mainly on 5-6 heavy compound lifts. Due to being hyper-sensitive to the stimulus, you’ll have no problem gaining muscle and adding weight to the bar from session to session.

As you progress, however, linear progression is no longer a viable option. This is where one would begin to manage volume and intensity. Having strength focused days and volume focused days is a great way to do so.

Once you’re more advanced, it’s time to increase the volume without sacrificing frequency. The advanced stages of your training is when I'd recommend a LPP routine where you'll alternate between light, medium, and heavy days.

Today I hit some legs 😝

Something I’ve incorporated a lot recently are squats & barbell Romanian deadlifts. The two biggest compound exercises for leg growth and strength, not to mention overall development

I’m not doing a full powerlifting program, but rather starting out each workout with a compound movement, then moving on to dumbbell and cable movements

There’s lots of growth to be done but here’s the scoop...you grow through smart and consistent progression and actions. Not what the person next to you is doing or has done

So, be smart with your workouts and put in the work. Where you want to be will be achieved sooner than you think

Last night I woke up a couple of times when I turned in bed, due to really sore muscles. To be able to lift weights I needed to warm up a lot to get warm, so that the blood could flow thru my muscles. I walked 10 minutes on the treadmill, 15 minutes on a crosstrainer and then 5 minutes foamrolling. Today I focused on my upper back and shoulders.
