I was sitting with a newer, beautiful friend a couple of months ago. She was talking at a get together. I could tell she was getting anxious in the group while she was speaking. She said, “sorry I think I’m rambling, but I’m trying to get to the point”...I smiled and said yeah you’re rambling, what’s wrong with that? Keep going...inside...my heart sank.
This beautiful human had shown her raw internal self. Bravely. She spoke anyway. And here she was, anxious and worried that the company in the room was judging her. She’s unique, sweet, and funny. And the world beats down people like that. It made me patient. It taught me about acceptance.
Be brave, be you. Don’t shrink down to make other people feel comfortable! Don’t dull your shine because other people are hiding in their own shadows desperately searching for the light switch. Don’t ever apologize for living, breathing, or speaking. We are all fumbling through life. Figuring it all out. We all stumble over words. We all have moments we feel like an ant. We all have moments we feel like a lion. Follow your passion and STOP. SAYING. SORRY. #sorrynotsorry #empoweredwomenempowerwomen #bebrave #beyou #couragemylove #secretkeeper #peaceandlove #buildbridgesnotwalls
