With the draft 1 day away, here are my Top Five Cornerbacks in this years draft class. What a deep class this is for DBs.
1. Marshon Lattimore, Ohio State
✅ Tested fantastic in the combine. Has excellent size and speed. Good at preventing separation, can play zone or man, has great ball skills and an impressive ability to recover.
❌ One year of experience as a starter, has had hamstring problems.
2. Marlon Humphrey, Alabama
✅ Superb skill set and size, well developed, prevents separation well, physical corner, reads screens and runs well.
❌ Occasionally gets beat by faster WRs, has had issues with playing the ball and receivers making plays over him.
3. Kevin King, Washington
✅ Great height at 6-3. Great speed and quickness for his size. Breaks on ball quickly. Good hitter.
❌ Not very physical in press, light frame, could get bullied by bigger receivers, inconsistent tackler.
4. Gareon Conley, Ohio State
✅ Ideal height and speed. Explosive athlete with great footwork, comfortable in zone and man, good at high pointing the ball.
❌ Lacks physicality in run game and coverage. Allows receivers to get separation inside too much, isn't a sure tackler.
5. Tre'Davious White, LSU
✅ Great versatility in both man and zone coverage. Very experienced, technically sound. Good instincts and tracks the ball well.
❌ Often isn't very physical in run game or coverage. Inconsistent at high pointing the ball. Tends to grab too much down field.
Quincy Wilson, Florida
Teez Tabor, Florida
Adoree Jackson, USC
Fabian Moreau, UCLA
Cordrea Tankersley, Clemson
Sidney Jones, Washington
