Many of you that know me know these dogs, anyone who knows them knows they are sweet, gentle, loving souls. They are my life, my passion, my world.
If we were in Montreal right now all of my girls would be put to death. Panda would be murdered because in her younger days she was mouser, she killed birds and other small pest animals. On top of this she would be put to death because of how she looks. As if the shape of her head and body says anything about what kind of dog she is.
My sweet Hannah, who is my heart dog, would be ripped away from me because she will kill small animals. She has never harmed a human, another dog, or a cat. But she sure does like to hunt for small pest animals and birds. Because of things she would be taken from me and killed.
Lastly my sweet Nadia who has barely had a taste of life would be put to death. She has done nothing wrong. She would be put to death because she has the "pit bull" look. And if we were lucky enough that she wouldn't be murdered. She would have to wear a muzzle anytime she exited our home, even into our own back yard. She would never be able to play fetch in by grass, or lap up gallons of water from the pool. She would only be allowed in a 4ft lead at any given time. She wouldn't be able to run about like a puppy should, she wouldn't be able to smell the roses that were five feet away from me. She would be broken. She would have no life at all.
Do these dogs look like monsters? Do you think they should be put to death? No? Either do I. Please if you do anything stop calling every dog a "pit bull" because that is exactly what is getting hundreds, if not thousands of dogs killed in 5 days.
