First whiff is literally like ripping a brioche apart, one that just came out fresh from the oven, before gaining bigger character, roasted quince jam on the palate, with that very slight touch of bitterness that makes things even more interesting. Fantastic stuff.
Sortie n°20 from Domaine de L'Egrapille in Auvergne, a 100% sparkling Chardonnay, and only one of many many gems on the natural winelist at @brutosparis (or just slightly off it in this case). The kind of wine you wish you could bring a case of bottles home from the restaurant, because you know you won't find it anywhere else. I guess I'll just have to come back for more wine and some terrific fire-grilled meat 🔥
