Baby Back Ribs, Rustic Southern Bean Stew, Juniper Tar .

Beans were an important source of protein and fiber for West Africans long before they came to the New World. Slaves often dried beans for storage and preservation.
Beans in general were a common staple on the plantation as a slave food. .
.
In the bean stew are Butter Beans, Pinto Beans and Kidney Beans, some Amish Country Sausage, slivers of Prunes for sweetness, all cooked in Peanut Likker. .
