I don't often tell the story of my "209's" tattoo, because honestly, it's kinda silly, but it feels appropriate today.
I used to work at a shop in Pittsburgh called @trueimagetattoostudio. We all agreed we needed a "shop tattoo" and we settled on this. "T" is the 20th letter of the alphabet. "I" is the 9th. Hence, 209. We thought it was funny because it looked like some real "gangster sh*t," when in reality it was an inside joke and nothing more.
One year ago, we lost a brother. I took this picture at the bar after Kevin's funeral.
I won't go into too many details, but it's safe to say that I may never be where I'm at in life without knowing Kevin.
There may be one less "209" tattoo in the world, but the rest of us still wear it proudly.
Call someone today that you haven't heard from in too long. Text them and tell them you love them. Life is short.
