The sound of OM connects us with all living beings.
You’ve probably heard me say that before in class, what does it mean?
Here’s a fun example, my buddy @JamesAlanRichardson came to class last night and got the goofiest smile when I got to my peak pose: Tittibhasana or Firefly pose. Why? Well turns out he was about to teach it in his class directly after mine.
Sure, it could have just been coincidence, but if you talk to seasoned teachers they’ll tell you they start to get on the same brain wavelengths as their colleagues. When one teacher focuses on hip openers, ten others in their circle will start on them simultaneously.
When we share our energy with our students and friends it reverberates through our community. And it’s not just what you say or do, it’s also what you feel and think.
How can your energy positively affect every creature around you, from the people at your yoga studio to the dogs in the park to the trees lining our blocks?
P.S. you should take James’s class, we may be headed in the same direction but we take very different paths!
