To my Good Girls, this was a dream come true. This was the best part of the entire night for me, to see the vision God birthed in me on the chests of so many women. This is for the multifaceted, multilayered black women. The women that rejects patriarchal ideas that tell her a man could know her better than she could know herself.
She exists in a world that tells her she has to prove the sacredness of her womanhood. Where she can’t be too sensual, or too ..free... She rejects oppressive notions that tell her she cannot be complex, whole & nuanced.
She recognizes that her black womanhood does not have to be one of anything. Rather is all of everything.
She is a masterpiece concerned with mastering peace. She is imperfect yet divine.. she’s not interesting in being a “bad girl” she’s “good.” Thank you for riding with me down this journey of becoming a better me & I pray God continues to order your steps on your path to wholeness & completeness. Let me hear it for the good girls one time✨ #bringherback
