‘The campo – the country – begins on the other side of the Ponte della Libertà’ is an old saying about Venice, illustrating this island city as something unique from the rest of the world, separated by a two mile long concrete bridge. I have to say, it really does feel like that. Venice is dream-like in its beauty - I’ve never been anywhere else like it. It can be hard to have your own Venetian experience, as it is a place never without crowds of tourists (of which I was one, of course!), but I always like to discover a place through its food and wine and, happily for me, there was plenty of that - as well as posing on bridges ☺️ More posts to come about the former!
