Dear (my) insurance company. I understand why you have rules & guidelines for things. That said,I really hate there's no leeway on it.While 93 is a passing grade, breathing when your pulse ox is 95 and under it's hard. My drs even thinks having oxygen at home would be good for me to have. Why are my drs orders ignored.Drs don't write orders just to write them. It's because they think it's in the best interests of the patient. You won't cover oxygen for me & you won't till I stat at 90 & under.
I'd like to see you live with one working lung. A bad heart w:5 congenital heart defects.Pulmonary hypertension.COPD not by smoking.Hypoplastic lung syndrome.A-fib.See how you'd feel when you're denied something that will help you do something that every other human being (excluding those who are sick) every second of every day. Breathing with little effort.
Theirs some things I won't/can't do anymore. But fixing my bed isn't something I can't not to.I have to take a breathing treatment after each time.I do breathing treatments 4-6 times a day.
I'm looking to see if I can get a portable oxygen concentrator instead. The machine isn't connected to oxygen tanks. It takes in the air around the machine, compresses it and delivers a higher amount of oxygen. All you do is plug it in or the battery pack.
If this won't be covered I'm thinking about doing a gofundme.I hate asking for money.Especially knowing I can't pay anyone back.Being unable to work at all hinders a lot of what I want to do and have. If id had several hundred dollars I'd buy 1 on @amazon right away.
I'm so sick of being short of breath so easily. It's not always a result of activity either. It does happen just by sitting up @ watching tv.I don't ask for much, so I don't think asking/wanting to breathe with a little more ease isn't that much to ask for.
I'm getting even more involved in getting my quality of life more live able. To advocate for my self. Because I have to continue living like this, I think wanting oxygen or the other machine would help. I'm not asking for a cure. I just want to breathe without working as hard as I do right now. No one wants a bad pulse ox reading, but it would be easier if I did.
