One of the most common reasons I’ve heard for skipping breakfast is “I didn’t have time” or “I can’t stomach food in the morning”. Mornings in our household can be rather frenetic and some mornings Little Miss Z is just not in the mood for food 😬 I never can understand this as I’m always in the mood for food 😂
Here are 2 breakfast options, the first is a porridge, the second a smoothie. Both contain the same ingredients: ✔️oats ✔️milk ✔️berries ✔️banana Each breakfast is nutritious using healthy whole foods. They’re just made differently.
Here is a little food for thought. We’ve all heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and a new study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology confirms this. This study of 4000 people showed those who skipped breakfast were more likely to be obese; have high blood pressure cholesterol and atherosclerosis, significantly increasing their risk of a heart attack or stroke.
Missing out on the first meal of the day was among a cluster of poor lifestyle choices made by those in the study who regularly skipped breakfast. 💜What’s your favourite breakfast smoothie?
