#tbt yo this day 3 years ago: I had the mind to make Bacon Buttermilk Biscuits.
Since I'm a little country I had bacon fat on hand that I added to the dough along with the butter and real bacon pieces. Before baking, I always place the cut biscuits in the freezer for about ten minutes. The freezer time ensures that the butter and bacon fat are solidified which will aid in the light, fluffiness of the biscuit. I also started using my stand mixer to mix the dough as not to overwork it.
