Coach Rory: "This is the result of my student, Obayemi, after finishing up his Ironman. He just earned his orange belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and as is our tradition, performed in an ironman.
He grappled near 20 of his fellow Submission Samurai and Leadership Team classmates before doing the same with five of his coaches.
He did this non stop for 30 minutes. Let that sink in. A fresh partner almost every minute until the end.
He was so overcome with emotion and tears of joy that I had to capture what I could. I don't believe there is another martial art that can elicit such feelings of accomplishment.
One can no more fake doing BJJ then they can speaking Chinese. The pride and confidence gained due to that are second to none.
At going on 13 this young man has the world at his fingertips. He will go on to do great things for sure. Super proud of you, Oba."
