The story of #JudahMaccabee and the #Hasmonean Family, who regained control of the Jerusalem Temple from their Greek captors, who had defiled the Jerusalem #Temple with Statues of Zeus Olympus and sacrificed Swine's Flesh on the Altar of God on December 25th in honor of Zeus's Birthday (December 25th). These actions were led by a Selucid King by the Name of Antiochus Epiphanes, who in the year 168 bce, Conquered Jerusalem and forced Greek Culture & Ideals on the remnant of the Children of Israel who lived in Israel at that time.
Antiochus Epiphanes was so obsessed with forcing Jews to accept #Greek Culture, that he had all of the Books of the Law (#Torah) removed from all of Judea and anyone found with a copy of the Laws of Moses was immediately executed on the spot. They set up in Jerusalem, Greek gymnasiums, where Men would fight in the Neud to the death as well as places for homosexual liasions. These acts were viewed by the pious Jews of this era, as a Sign of Jerusalem's impending Destruction, unless they fight for the culture and spirituality, which is responsible for shaping and molding the World's universal code of #morality and ethics.
There arose a #Levite named #Matathias, who together with his Sons; in particular his son Judah, who was surnamed by the Greeks "Maccabee" (Hammer), rose up and fought the heathens (Greeks) and stood up for and Championed the fight to regain Jerusalem and parts of Israel under Greek rule. Matathias's son Judah, waged brave and Lion-like campaigns against the Greeks, that were so grossly mis-matched that one Greek writer says the Sword of Judah took the lives of over 100 Greeks each time he wielded (#Swung) it! The gorrilla warfare waged by Judah, was so militarily ingenius, that some of his Military strategies are taught today in the World's greates military academies across the world. Judah Maccabee was a #BraveWarrior and a Fearless Lion, whose sword was so powerful that the Greeks surnamed him "The Hammer" (#Maccabbee). Judah Maccabbee achieved #victory every direction he turned and eventually regained control over the Jerusalem Temple. Not enough space to post the rest here. Refer to my Facebook page: Zion Lexx.
