So question, do you know who your audience is? And not just a general “she is a woman and lives in ____... but do you know the real juicy details about her?
A vital part of PR is to get your product, service, brand or business key messages in front of your audience. it’s about speaking to her and understanding why she needs what you have to offer. And to do that you need to know who she is.
When thinking about getting media coverage, ask yourself these three questions.
1️⃣ who is she? Go beyond creating a general persona and thinking about her as a person, her interests, key characteristics, pain points, needs etc
2️⃣ where does she live - if geographically she is based in London then focusing on UK based publications and websites are key :
3️⃣ where does she hang out? Both offline and online. What does she read? This will provide you with key insight as to what media publications to pitch to and why. Whether online, offline, print etc :
