Last week I asked for help brainstorming ideas for IG posts. Some suggested that I should include more brands. Honestly I'm very loyal to only three main brands as I have come to realisation that they work extremely well for me (Hermes, CHANEL and Louis Vuitton). In terms of ready-to-wear, I have one brand that I am absolutely obsessed about and that is Chanel. In general I just fall for beautifully designed and made pieces of clothing, accessories etc but with Chanel I sort of love everything they do. I just love their brand values, story and female founder, the whole aesthetics and communication have been very consistent all these years. I don’t feel that way about any other ready-to-wear brand, I feel that Chanel is one of the few that is actually worth its luxury status. So no wonder I have become a bit of a collector. Here's my #newin jacket from the latest fall Act 1 collection. You know I have a weakness for Chanel jackets/blazers.
Some asked how to save and spurge on luxury goodes, my experiences tell me to plan well, do your research and do not act on impulse. I used to buy a lot from high street brands such as Topshop, Zara and etc, just because they looked nice and in trend then, but they rarely last for me. My hubby calls it "fashion fast-food", just to satisfy the craving but not a healthy habit. Eventually I know this is something I must change. Nowadays I rarely go random clothes shopping anymore. I don't need a wardrobe full of clothes, bags or shoes, quality is more important than quantity. Just my 2c. ❤️Have a fabulous Sunday everyone!
