Just watched Generation Iron 2, and to be honest... I was a little disappointed in the content. When I think about bodybuilding, and what it takes to be successful, I imagine nose to the grindstone, blood, sweat, and tears. Passion, discipline, hard work, and love for the sport. However, the movie talks more about how important social media fame, monetizing the industry, and gaining followers has become for bodybuilding. True or not, I think that they only pushed this perspective further by making it the main focus of the documentary. I was really hoping for the same depiction of grit and perseverance as the first one,but I suppose the only constant in this world is change, and the world of bodybuilding has definitely shifted gears to focus on media #bringbackoldschool #theystillhaveheart
Who else has watched this movie? Thoughts?
