Recently I had the pleasure of this duty free exclusive Macallan Rare Cask Back and it didn't disappoint.
The nosing immediately hits you with peat and smoke dancing magnificently with strong fruity sweetness and ginger spice.
The palate firstly brings smoke which quickly diminishes to give way to traditional sherry notes of spice and toffee sweetness.
The finish is where this dram is a big win with beautiful sweetness combining with incense smoke.
Overall, this is a brilliant dram. Is it worth the $600+ price tag? I am leaning towards a yes. What do you think?
