BUILDING PUSH-UP STRENGTH part 3! A lot of people think the only way to build push up strength is by doing push-ups. Not true! Lifting weights actually helps develop the muscles we use for push-ups to get us stronger.

CHEST PRESS

One of my favorites that I have been doing lately is chest press on an exercise ball. Here I'm using 8 lbs, but have gone up to 10 or 15 lbs in each hand. It works your pecs (chest), deltoids (shoulders), triceps, and back - all muscles you use for push-ups. The other great benefit of doing them on the ball is that your whole body is engaged too in the bridge. You're using your glutes and hamstrings as well as your abs!

Just be sure to have your shoulders and back fully supported on the ball. Make sure your hands go over your chest and not your head or lower. And don't let your arms go past 90 degrees when you come back down because you could overextend them and get injured. Let's get #strongereveryday! #pushups #chestpress #caligirlgetsform #armday

It's Monday!!!! 🕺🏻 and here is my Monday challenge for you guys: try something NEW in your workout routine. I've found that incorporating the @bosu_fitness in almost anything I do at the gym adds a level of intensity that makes me sweat more, burn more calories, feel stronger, and obviously help with my balance and core strength. Here, I'm showing u two moves that WILL get your legs on fire: 1- single leg deadlift on the bosu to a press and 2- lunge with my foot on the bosu

Today was leg day so decided to 🎥 what I did for you guys. I have three different videos so I'll see if I upload them all together or one per day 🤔
Anyway, I did a lot of my workouts on the #bosuball to work on my balance and challenge myself a little. I started with
Dumbbell squat to leg kick 3x10 each leg (20 squats)
Stationary lunge (pulsing) to knee up (balance 😬) 3x10
Bosu ball single leg glute bridges 3x10 each leg 📌 Don't let your knees go pass your toes. Drive from your heels and make a mind muscle connection.

Speedy deadlifts, shoulders and core kinda day.
Deadlifts so light I could do some bicep curls 😂.
Shoulder work with just the plate, bunch of sets, went until I couldn't move my arms.
Ended the night with abs. 💀 -

Sometimes though, if you're REALLY short on time, even squeezing out a few moves like this one will do the trick. I learned a lot of moves like this one doing my streamed BOD workouts & I do them on my own, sometimes with extra equipment, when I don't have time to do a full workout start to finish. .
The KEY 🔑 w/ any move you do is FORM 🏋🏼‍♀️! You have to use good form in order to reap the benefits of it & in order to do that, you may have to use less weight or no weight at all

This, the Bosu Ball, is one of my favorite workout tools but you don't need it to do mountain climbers. That's what the move is called. The Bosu just makes you use your core, aka abs, more so that you can target other muscles besides the upper & lower body.....👌🏼 hello full body workout move 👌🏼.... to complete the exercise

For this move, you need to get into the push up position, either with or without the Bosu ball, and bring your knees up to your chest, alternating each one
.
You'll feel the burn in your arms, shoulders, legs and butt! What more could ya ask for from an exercise? To add to this, you could add some jump squats, walking lunges and regular/assisted push ups and you have your workout

NEVER 🚫 say you don't have enough time. We ALL have time. It's a matter of choosing what we do with it!
