The Boss Baby
7 year old Tim has always been imaginative, and when a new baby arrives, Tim's world is going to be turned upside down. With a suit and briefcase, the new baby turns out to be Boss Baby, a secret agent (bear with me here), aiming to take down puppies dominance over human love. And when Boss Baby is the only one capable of stopping puppies dominance, they must put their differences aside and save the world.
Okay, let's cut to the chase. The movie was bad and if it were up to me it would go straight to dvd. But the family love makes the movie much more bearable. The baby is, as expected, cute and quite funny, nothing special though. But the older brother Tim, was anything but cute, he is annoying, with character design as poor as his personality.
The story was told from the perspective of a 7 years old, and in my opinion, also written by a 7 years old. It was all over the place and it was hard for me to understand what is going on. The jokes were mainly slapsticks and baby mess. I can only count three times that i actually smiled in the cinema.
The animation was of tv cartoon quality. And with 125 millions, it was a waste of money. But to be fair, the movie is targeted for kids, and i'm sure kids will like it for it simplicity.
All in all, it's a poor cartoon, and i can't wait to get out of the cinema. Giving it a D.
