Look what I found. Voices from Chernobyl by Svetlana Alexievich, winner of the 2015 Nobel Prize in Literature. This book is an oral history of the Chernobyl Disaster, an incident I find immensely and terrifyingly fascinating. While tunneling through my books, I came across many other titles, and a curious pattern emerged, as if the corium voices were gathering a reprise. Over the next four days, I’m going to post a #bookspinepoetry (a poem using the titles of books) in four stanzas. I titled the poem, “Voices from Chernobyl,” because I wanted to highlight how the poem came together from my search of this one, singular book. Thanks for tagging me on this @fullybooked.
