I think my inability to sleep is going to be great for my Goodreads account. For the second time this week I absolutely could not fall asleep, and I ended up finishing Lolita, and reading To All The Boys I've Loved Before from start to finish! I was definitely skeptical about To All The Boys, even though everyone on bookstagram seems to swear by it, I just didn't think it would be my thing. It ended up being exactly the sweet and happy read I needed after finally finishing Lolita. I don't know that I'll read on in the series, but I'm happy I made it through this one! The question is what to read now. I'm 1/4 through The Little Paris Bookshop, but I don't like it at all, and my friend just lent me The Nix, plus I think it might finally be time for Into The Water. Decisions decisions. #book#books#bookpics#bookish#bookstagram#booklover#instabooks#booknerd#bookworm#bookstagramfeature#read#reading#igreads#bibliophile#instaread#lovebooks
«What is the meaning of life? That was all a simple question; one that tended to close in on one with years, the great revelation had never come. The great revelation perhaps never did come. Instead, there were little daily miracles, illuminations, matches struck unexpectedly in the dark». – V. Woolf, To the Lighthouse (sì, sempre lei).
#Repost@onceuponafaeriebook with @instatoolsapp ・・・ ¡Hola a todos!
✴ Book Spines ✴ ........ ✴ I'm in love with these book spines, they are so gorgeous. Also all three of these books are really good. So, if you have not had the chance to read them then you definently should pick them up. ....... #bookstagrambasics
Love and hate. Good and bad. Salvation and destruction. They weren’t opposites, either. We were both. I was both. Maybe everyone was. Maybe that was okay. Maybe we did what we could with whatever we were given. // Maggie Hall, The Ends of the World 🛩 When you're books won't stand by themselves so you gotta have your hand in the pic 🙃🙃🙃 🛩 So I was going to drop everything and hop into Tower of Dawn but I'm in the middle of the Conspiracy of Us books and I'm at the point were I'm invested. The second book was everything I wanted the first one to be and I'm excited to see where the conclusion goes. 🛩 Just want to thank @britneyfan19 again for sending me the second book, it was the push I needed to start this series and I can't believe I'm going to say this but I think I'm gonna finish a series this month! 😱 What a change from last month where I barely read two books. 🛩 #watermelanerdsseptember // What are you most grateful for? (World Gratitude Day) // Books. Honestly where would I be if I didn't have books to read. They've been the main source of my happiness since childhood.
Twin brothers Gustavo and Hector have no idea of the twists and turns they will encounter as their lives unfold. From living in an abusive home to being kidnapped and thrown into one hopeless situation to the next, they always have each other and they never give up on their quest to find happiness. For Gustavo, it's in the arms of another man, while Hector finds peace and happiness with a bombshell stripper aptly named Star. As the story unfolds, Gustavo lets the reader into his life a little at a time. He said has guards his thoughts and holds dear to him those he knows love and will never judge him-his brother and his "sister" Angel-a transsexual with a heart big enough to save everyone but herself. This transformation story takes the reader on a trip throught the life of two Mexican-American men who never let go of their childhood dreams even as they live through horrific experiences complete with rape, domestic violence, drug abuse, abandonment, murder and betrayal. Just when it seems that the brothers will finally have their happy endings, tragedy rears its ugly head to again snatch away one brother's chance at true love. The hurt and shame could make many people fall and crumble, but it can also make life that much sweeter for those who champion the obstacles placed before them. From the hoods of gritty Sacramento, California to the slick Atlanta, Georgia streets, Gustavo and Hector stick together in hopes of finding the meaning behind the heartache. #igreads#bookpal#bookish#bookishlife#bookstagrammer#booklover#bookart#bookphotography#bookpics#igbooks#amreading#potterhead#tellmeyourdreams#redminote3#school#class#classess#student#students#teacher#instagood#classmates#classmate#peer#work#textbook#textbooks#messingaround#butterfly#onedayonebook
