May the wind under your wings bear you where the sun sails and the moon walks. - JRR Tolkien, The Hobbit
Happy #ShireSunday folks! I hope you're able to enjoy a peaceful, rest-filled day. I didn't get to go to church today because I'm still feeling under the weather with this tonsillitis. But hey, I'm getting plenty of reading done in my down time 👍 I'm taking Al's (@littlebookwormig) advice and looking for that silver lining!
This beautiful word art necklace was made by my friend Dena (@bookworm_365) and it's available to purchase, along with a ton of other awesome bookish jewelry, in her Etsy shop, Poppet's Widgets. Click the link in her bio to visit!
I'd like to take this time to do a few tags from my lovely friend, Krista (@darkness_becomes_me), who isn't here anymore to see them. If you've wondered about her, Krista is taking a break from Instagram. She encountered too much bullying, and felt that she just needed some time away to decide if Instagram was the right place for her. This makes me so sad. And mad, too! Who has the right to say mean and nasty things to someone else? To belittle them about their reading choices, their photos, or their patriotism? To not only make rude comments on their posts, but to send nasty DMs too? No one, that's who! Life is hard enough without people coming along and being judgmental about your Instagram posts. Can't we all just be nice to each other?
The Hobbit is definitely a comfort read for me. Every time I read it, it always feels like I'm coming home to friends, to family, to familiarity.
I love the little butterflies in the treetops on this cover! 🦋
Some of the deaths in this one 😭
I would love to have this whole set by @harpercollinsuk but I'm just not keen on shelling out that much money for the rest of them!
Have a blessed day, friends! 💕
