"Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."
A few Bookstagrammers have been the subject of "library shaming" lately (which is just as silly as it sounds) because, in addition to reading books, they collect them for aesthetic purposes. Here's what I have to say about that: to many of us, a beautifully crafted book is a work of art, and since when has it been unacceptable to collect art? Why wouldn't we want to decorate our homes with books, when reading has opened up so many worlds for us?
And so, to every single person who has been targeted because they do not purchase books the "correct" way, "Nolite te bastardes carborundorum." 😉
