Plotlines predicated on being lost or left behind really stress me out. Finding Dory, The Incredible Journey, The Martian, Castaway, Empire of the Sun, uhh, The Odyssey....all too anxiety inducing for me to fully enjoy. Feel free to psychoanalyze me at your leisure. But turns out these are legit phobias: athazagoraphobia and mazeaphobia!
So assuming this book doesn't trigger your athazagoraphobia, it's quite cute. Otto is a book bear. At night he crawls out of his book to explore, but best of all he loves to be read and shared. During a family move, his book is accidentally left behind. He decides to set out on his own, but he's just a tiny book bear lost in a world that doesn't notice him. It's not until he stumbles on a mecca for all those lost and seeking (hint: the library) that he once again has a place to belong and be loved.
